Snoqualmie Pass, WA –James Windle, Independent candidate for Congress in Washington’s 8th District, is readying for a final push toward the primary. The campaign website has new feature stories and a profile video at: http://windleforcongress.com/media/. The new look emphasizes his roots in the District and his experience working in the federal government, including in Congress.
A native of Sammamish, he graduated from Redmond High School and worked at his family’s gas station. He attended Shoreline and Bellevue Community Colleges, as well as Washington State University. He graduated from the University of Washington. With a passion for public service, he pursued a graduate degree in Boston and then a career in Washington, DC. He left his job recently as an Associate Dean at National Defense University believing strongly that he can make a greater contribution representing his home District in Congress as an Independent.
“My time away from my family and home has not been easy. It prepared me, however, for my campaign. Independent-minded people live in the 8th. Only an Independent, equipped with my experience, can push for the solutions we need right now. The political parties have had their chance,” Windle said.
The Windle campaign will be holding and participating in events in comings days around the District, including Kent’s Cornucopia parade this Sunday. Windle will also be running in the Cornucopia 5K Fun Run on Saturday morning carrying what he describes as a “heavy object” to symbolize he is willing to do the heavy-lifting in Congress to break the partisan gridlock.
